1. About us
GulfData ("GulfData", "we", "us", "our") is a trading name of Vector Retail Group Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. Business address: 30 Allt-Yr-Yn Heights, Newport, NP20 5DX, United Kingdom. We provide digital eSIM data plans for international travel through our website (https://gulfdata.io) and the GulfData mobile app (the "App").
By accessing our website, downloading or using the App, or purchasing or using a GulfData eSIM, you agree to these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use our services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. By using GulfData you confirm you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.
3. Our services
- We sell digital eSIM data plans, including single-country and regional/multi-country plans, and top-ups.
- eSIMs are delivered electronically; no physical SIM card is shipped.
- All plans are data-only unless explicitly stated otherwise.
- Coverage, available destinations, plan features and prices may change, and some destinations may be unavailable or withdrawn (including where required by law or sanctions).
4. The GulfData App — licence and restrictions
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use the App on a device you own or control, solely for your own use of our services and in accordance with these Terms and any applicable app-store rules.
You must not, and must not allow others to:
- copy, modify, adapt, translate or create derivative works of the App, website or our software;
- reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble, or attempt to derive source code, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law;
- rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, sublicense or commercially exploit the App or any eSIM except as we expressly permit;
- remove or obscure any proprietary notices;
- use the services to build a competing product, or scrape, harvest or extract data;
- use bots or automated means, or interfere with, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the App, our systems or other users' accounts; or
- circumvent, disable or tamper with any security or access controls.
We may issue updates and may add, change or remove features at any time. The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
5. App stores
The App is made available through third-party app stores, including the Apple App Store and Google Play, and your use is also subject to the relevant store's terms.
Apple devices. Where you obtain the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that: these Terms are between you and GulfData only, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the App or its content; Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support; Apple is not responsible for any product warranties or for addressing claims relating to the App (including product liability, legal or regulatory non-compliance, or intellectual-property claims), which are our responsibility to the extent set out in these Terms; you will comply with applicable third-party terms and the App Store Usage Rules; you represent that you are not located in a country subject to a UK, US or other applicable embargo and are not on any restricted-party list; and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.
6. Your account and sign-in
Some features require an account. We use passwordless email sign-in (a one-time code sent to your email). You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@gulfdata.io if you suspect unauthorised use. You can delete your account and associated data at any time in the App (Profile → Settings → Delete Account) or by contacting us.
7. eSIM compatibility & device requirements
You are responsible for ensuring that your device supports eSIM technology, is network-unlocked, and is compatible with the destination networks. Compatibility information is provided at https://gulfdata.io/pages/compatibility and via the in-app compatibility check. We cannot guarantee compatibility with every device model or carrier variant.
8. Delivery
eSIMs are delivered digitally (by email and/or in the App), typically within a few minutes of successful payment. Delays may occur due to email filtering, payment verification or technical issues. If you do not receive your eSIM, please contact support before requesting a refund.
9. Activation & usage
eSIMs can usually be installed before travel. Data plans activate when the eSIM first connects to a supported network; activation timing depends on the destination and network behaviour. You are responsible for enabling data roaming where required, selecting the eSIM as the active data line, and monitoring your data usage.
10. Acceptable use
You agree to use our services lawfully and not to: use them for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose; breach any applicable sanctions, export-control or telecommunications laws; resell or redistribute eSIMs without our written permission; or use the services in a way that could damage, disable or impair them.
11. Fair use & network performance
Our services rely on third-party mobile network operators. Network speed, latency, coverage and availability depend on local carriers, network congestion, device capability and location. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or specific speeds, and a fair-use policy may apply to certain plans.
12. Pricing & payment
Prices are shown at checkout and payable in full at the time of purchase. We may change prices at any time, but changes do not affect orders already placed. Payments are processed securely by our payment providers (including Airwallex and PayPal); we do not store full card details.
13. Refunds & cancellations
Because eSIMs are digital products supplied electronically, refunds are subject to the conditions below. By purchasing, you ask us to supply the digital content immediately and acknowledge that, once it has been installed or activated, your statutory right to cancel may be lost.
A refund may be granted if, within 30 days of purchase, the eSIM has not been installed and has not been activated. A refund will not normally be granted where the eSIM has been installed, has connected to a network, data has been consumed, or where incompatibility is due to a locked or unsupported device. To request a refund, contact support with your order details. Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
14. Promotions
Discounts, promotions and multi-purchase offers are applied at checkout, cannot be combined unless stated, and are subject to change or withdrawal at any time.
15. Intellectual property
All intellectual property rights in GulfData — including the App, the website, our software and source code, designs, the "DataCart Violet" visual system, the GulfData name, logos and branding, text, graphics and other content — are owned by or licensed to Vector Retail Group Limited and protected by law. The "GulfData" name and logo are our trademarks.
Except as expressly permitted in these Terms, you may not use, copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, display, scrape, reverse-engineer or create derivative works from any part of our services or content, and you may not use our trademarks, without our prior written permission. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. To report infringement, contact support@gulfdata.io.
16. Third-party services
Our services integrate third-party providers (for example payment processors, email delivery and eSIM network providers). We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, content or policies of third parties, and your use of their services may be subject to their own terms.
17. Disclaimers
Our services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties not expressly set out in these Terms. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer, which remain unaffected.
18. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.
Subject to the above, and to the fullest extent permitted by law: we are not liable for indirect, special or consequential losses, or loss of profit, data or opportunity; we are not responsible for roaming or other charges incurred on any other SIM, line or device; and our total liability arising out of or in connection with the services or any eSIM is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant eSIM.
19. Suspension & termination
We may suspend, restrict or terminate your access to the services (including the App and any account) if you breach these Terms, misuse the services, or where required by law. You may stop using the services and delete your account at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law) will continue to apply.
20. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website, and your continued use of the services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
21. Privacy
We handle personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on our website.
22. General
These Terms (together with our Privacy Policy and any policies referenced) form the entire agreement between you and us regarding the services. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours to a successor in connection with a reorganisation or sale of our business. We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
23. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts (this does not deprive you of any mandatory consumer protections available where you live).
