Refund policy

At GulfData, we aim to provide reliable, instant mobile data for travellers and expats worldwide. Because eSIMs are digital products delivered immediately, our refund policy is necessarily specific. Please read it carefully before purchasing. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

1. When you are eligible for a refund

You may be eligible for a full refund if all of the following apply:

  • the eSIM has not been installed, activated or used;
  • the QR code has not been scanned (in the app or from your confirmation email);
  • the request is made within 30 days of purchase; and
  • you can provide your order number or purchase email.

Where these conditions are met, we will refund to the original payment method.

2. When refunds cannot be issued

Refunds cannot normally be provided where:

  • the eSIM has been installed or activated;
  • any amount of data has been used;
  • the QR code has been scanned;
  • the device is not compatible with eSIMs (you are responsible for checking compatibility before purchase, including via our in-app compatibility check);
  • the eSIM was purchased for a destination where usage is restricted by local regulations; or
  • the issue is caused by incorrect device settings (for example APN, roaming disabled, or an outdated operating system).

This is standard across the eSIM industry, as activated eSIMs cannot be reused or resold.

3. Service & connectivity issues

If you experience connectivity issues clearly attributable to the eSIM itself (and not device configuration or local restrictions), please contact support before using significant data. In verified cases we may, at our discretion, offer a replacement eSIM, a partial refund, or account credit. Each case is reviewed individually.

4. Incorrect purchases

If you bought the wrong destination or plan and the eSIM has not been activated, contact us immediately and we will do our best to correct it or refund where possible.

5. How to request a refund

Email support@gulfdata.io with your order number, the email used at checkout, and a brief explanation. We aim to respond within 24 hours.

6. Chargebacks & disputes

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback — unnecessary chargebacks increase costs and may delay resolution. Fraudulent or abusive refund requests may result in account restrictions.

7. Legal

By purchasing from GulfData you acknowledge that eSIMs are digital goods delivered instantly and agree to this refund policy at checkout. This policy does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
